Another wrinkle to the Youtube idea -- the "haul" posters are usually posting videos of stuff they've just bought. So, imagine the video opens with a disembodied whispering voice declaring that [fictitious Youtube fashion poster] is always highlighting new stuff she buys, but its now time for her everyday stuff to get some camera time. "And I'm your host. But don't mind me, I'm nobody..." The first item to be showcased could be a pair of gloves, mainly to allow the host to "interact" with the clothing items as they are introduced.

At some point we hear someone trying to get into the room where the video is being made -- it's the fashion poster herself. The video is being filmed in either her bedroom or whatever room she has set aside for videos, but the door has been locked. This, of course, *could* be the end of the video... or the gloves could float over and open the door, leading to some kind of exchange between the usual visible host and the ad-hoc invisible one. I'm thinking that if the gloves choose to open the door, the construct/entity/whatever must be known to the Youtuber. Maybe there was an agreement that she/it would not be directly involved in the videos?

I was just watching someone's clothing haul video on YouTube and got an idea. For whatever reason my mind gravitated to Vestiphile's characters:

1- Imagine Sunny or Elise from the Amulet story (for example) doing a DIY-styled modeling video where the host is narrating, while clothing is coming into camera range, showing itself off, and then retreating. Some items might choose to interact with, or react to, the host in some way. Say, the host points out how this one halter top offers extra support, which the top demonstrates by bobbing up and down, back and forth, showing more jiggle than the host expected. "Hmm... or maybe not. Moving on..." Or maybe the host is pointing out the fit, and her fingers on the fabric induces some nipple poke-through.

2- Or the exact opposite. Maybe a disembodied voice accompanied by a pair of floating gloves acts as the host, while the models are human.

And of course we could combine the two...
3- Disembodied voice host, with living clothes doing the modeling.

Seems like this type of story would work best formatted as a screenplay.

Any comments?

Wow -- I really like this chapter. Seems like a LOT of intrigue going on, though; lots of moving parts besides the, uh, obvious ones. :P

Now I wanna see what's gonna happen with Bailey. :)

Wow -- those are the ones I was most looking forward to reading! :D

I'm working on Sick Day (continuation of Dress Code) and the follow-up to When Marla's Away.

I actually printed out a bunch of pages to use some of the story starts as inspiration -- I have them around here somewhere -- but I'm not sure I have them on my computer.  :-\  I'll check...

One story involves a couple going to an old western recreation town for their honeymoon, turns out the place was closed due to unknown hauntings involving actual western style outfits running around at night and even riding on floating saddles like they were riding invisible horses. Also a scene with some sexy phantom showgirls showing off in the saloon. And running the whole place is a leather clad female sheriff who decides to have some fun with the clueless couple.

Some time ago I shared a synopsis  of an idea I had that was similar to this. I saw there was a ghost town in California named Bodie, and it brought to mind a character named Bodie from a writer who did lots of living gloves/invisible hands stories but has been inactive for awhile now. My idea was that a couple on a road trip in California find a "ghost town" that turns out to be something of a extraterrestrial prison camp. The aliens make their prisoners invisible and intangible to prevent them from interacting with humans, who aren't supposed to know anything about the camp. I did envision a scene with a leather-and-denim wearing invisible female sheriff interacting with the couple. but I never gave the idea any more thought until I saw this post tonight.

Welcome, Preposte!  :)

As for how this all started with me, I think my first interest in animated clothing started after a dream involving a woman I had a crush on when I was all of nine or ten years old. Each item (a bra [!], pantyhose, blouse, pants) approached me believing it was in fact the woman. After all four items were present, I had them assemble themselves into an approximation of an invisible woman... and then I woke up.

I wouldn't have been able to stay on very long tonight (well, Wednesday 9/27) but sorry to see you had some technical difficulties. I hope you're able to clear up... whatever it is without too much trouble.  :o

You would not believe how much [fixed that for you -- :)] crap it takes to stock a department store.
I would -- I worked for three of them in the 80s and 90s, two of them in stock.  :-\
Looking forward to your movie. :)

My memory was playing tricks on me -- I remember giggling, and the dresses being more colorful. But that was definitely the commercial. Thanks for the heads up!  :D

Nice work, Jayhawk! :) After I watched your video, the thumbnails that came up showed not just one but TWO living clothes videos, both commercials.

I saw the continuation of Pervasive Perversion, and I like it!  :D  Actually I tried to join the stream while I was at work. My gadgets continue to dislike Picarto, for whatever reason. My phone is actually Android 7.0 now -- it was 5.1 when I bought it - but apparently that's not advanced enough to follow the stream without conflict. My tablet...  :-\ . After a suitable amount of time has passed, I'm ditching this Asus mess and going back to Samsung. (I was gonna say this Korean mess  :-[  but Samsung's Korean too.  ::) ) I won't pay a ransom for their phones, but some of their tablets are alright, as long as I make sure I get enough memory.
